Directed By: Sian Heder
Directing – 9
I think that the direction for the film is great. I love how Sian focused on the lives of the deaf family. I also appreciated that the director showed the characters in the film are just like all of us humans.
Cinematography – 9
I thought the cinematography was great. However, there are a couple of choices that could have been different.
Score – 10
The score and the music are great.
Story – 10
The story is nearly flawless. I love how the characters are incredibly real and relatable. I also appreciated how this film wasn’t a pity party. I understand all the characters and can empathize and sympathize with them, but it also shows that they are just like me and the person reading this review. I also loved our protagonist. She was written really well. We see through her eyes and her perspective on a lot of things. I very much understood and can relate to her in many ways. The film’s story is near perfect: It’s comedic, dramatic, will make you smile, but also at times a little heartbreaking.
Acting – 10
Everyone in the film does a phenomenal job.
Post-Production – 10
Post-Production was handled well.
Entertainment – 10
The film was great, I highly recommend it.
