Directing – 8
Lowery directs this film nicely. I love some of the decisions he made. I also love the ambition and the feeling of the film. It doesn’t feel like many movies out there in the world. The pacing is slow. Also, because the film is very peculiar, it won’t be for everyone. Overall, I think it is a solid film.
Cinematography – 10
The cinematography is beautiful, one of the best-looking movies all year.
Score – 10
The score in the film is great.
Story – 8
The story follows Gawain, the nephew of Arthur, as he sets out on a quest to find the Green Knight and deliver a promise that was made. This story has many great moments and scenes. It doesn’t give you the answers that you may be looking for. It allows you to go on this journey and hopefully will accept how it plays out.
Acting – 10
The acting is great. All the actors give great performances.
Post-Production – 10
I think post-production does an amazing job with this film. The editing and the effects look incredible, even the colors.
Entertainment – 7
I will say, this film isn’t the most entertaining work ever. Do I think it is a bad film? No; however, I do think it is a film I can say that I don’t particularly love. However, if I was to say is this film good? Yeah. It is a great piece of cinema. Just not something I can say I love.
