Directing – 8
I think Nimoy does a nice job at directing this film. I think he did a nice job with the structure of this film and setting up the film nicely. My slight negatives I would say would be a little bit of the pacing and a few musical choices.
Cinematography – 10
The cinematography is nice. There are some nice shots within this film and I think the cinematography was done well.
Score – 8
The score is nice, I do like the score for this film, I will say a few times the music does feel a little odd. Like if it isn’t supposed to be in this film in particular.
Story – 8
I think that overall story is done nicely. I like the character arcs for Spock and Jim Kirk, I really like the time travel aspect of this film, and I think the film was written fairly well. This film I feel shows themes of: Friendship, Sacrifice, Ego, Humanity, etc. For negatives, there are things that need to happen for the film to play out and just a few nitpicks through out, I also think when we realize why they go back in time, it can be a bit cheesy as to why. Yes, I understand it had a deeper meaning for it, I just think maybe a little bit of a different reason as to why, I suppose.
Acting – 9
The acting I think was done really well. I don’t have many flaws with many of the performances, other than maybe a little more emotion, I would say. That is really it.
Post-Production – 10
The post production is done well. I think the effects are much better, I also think this film didn’t need to rely on the effects because of the time travel element, I will say there are a couple parts where the effects don’t always look the greatest, but I think it is fine.
Entertainment – 8
