Directed By: Christopher Nolan

Directing – 10

Nolan’s direction is incredible each scene is setup perfectly. The pacing is amazing the film is investing and engaging, and it feels right for each moment whether it be building up tension, or a heartfelt moment. His direction is outstanding.

Cinematography – 10

Wally Pfister’s cinematography is amazing. Each scene in terms of framing and lighting is handled perfectly. The moments it captures are just jaw dropping and just incredible.

Score – 10

Han’s Zimmer score is incredible. It’s perfectly place in the right places throughout the film, it’s arguably one of his best.

Story – 10

The story is also amazing. It follows Cobb and a group he gets together to try and put a memory inside another person’s mind, in hopes that he can complete this mission and go back home to see his family. Everything about it is just astounding: The concept, the dialogue, the characters, the setup, etc, it’s all incredible. It can be confusing and potentially hard to follow for some, and it may take a few watches, but it’s pretty remarkable. I didn’t have many problems following along, so I don’t believe it is too confusing to follow. The story almost feels like “Ocean’s Eleven” with the concept of dreaming involved.

Acting – 10

The acting is just phenomenal, everybody gives great performances. I don’t believe there’s someone that did not perform well.

Post-Production – 10

The editing is amazing as well, the editing also needed to be great with certain scenes or else the film would fail. But it’s edited brilliantly, the special effects towards the end can look a bit off, but it can easily be looked past. But a lot of the effects are real, so a lot fo what was in frame was real instances caught on camera, so it was incredible overall.

Entertainment – 10

The film could be slow at times, and it can lead many head-scratching, so that could help or hurt the entertainment value, but the story itself was investing and was brilliant enough for me. Also, with multiple watches, I may just look past any confusion and it may just be better with more watches. The movie is near flawless, amazing film.

Final Rating

10/10 – AMAZING FILM!
