Directed By: Leonard Nimoy

Directing – 8

Nimoy’s directing is pretty solid. I do think he did a job at trying to make a more investing sci-fi adventure film, and I think he did a decent job. There are a good variety fo negatives some moments don’t always work, and it can be a little slow at times. I’m either on a 7 or 8 on this.

Cinematography – 8

The cinematography is better in this film and I think the colors look better in this film overall. I do think there is more of a variation of colors shown in the film.

Score – 10

The score I think is really good. I think that Star Trek has yet to have a bad score.

Story – 7

The story I believe is much better than the last. It follows Kirk and his crew mates trying too has to Genesis to find Commander Spock, in hopes that he is still alive. The film explores possible themes of friendship, doing the right thing, sacrifice, family, etc. I do think this film’s story is much more investing than the previous film, it feels more like am adventure film where you get to go on the journey with the characters in hopes to complete their own objective. I do think the story dies have some problems: It can be a little cheesy at times, and somethings don’t always work, I also think we gloss over some things that could have been explored a little bit more at times. But overall better than the previous installment.

Acting – 8

The acting is done well, and I think the actors do a good job at portraying the characters. However, there are somethings that don’t always work, and the acting can be a bit well we have what we wanted.

Post-Production – 7

The post-production is done fine. The editing is done fine, except for a couple moments and also we gloss over some parts we don’t really go back to, and also the special effects can be a little well iffy at times.

Entertainment – 7

I think this film was a little more investing than the last and I did have a good time with however. I don’t think it’s absolutely amazing, but I found it pretty enjoyable than the last film. I’m a little on the edge with either a 7 or 8.

Final Rating

8/10 – Nice Sci-Fi Film.
